Assessor - a subject matter expert registered by the relevant ETQA to measure the achievement of specified NQF unit standards and qualifications.
Assessment Designer - a trained assessor who is also trained as a designer of assessment activities and instruments.
Facilitator - a person making it easy for the learner to acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes, assisting the learner to become competent.
Moderator - a person who is knowledgeable in his / her field and oversees the assessment process, supports the assessor and quality assures a sample of assessments undertaken by assessors.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) - the comparison of the previous learning and experience of a learner against the learning outcomes required for a specified qualification, with a view to accepting such learning and experience as evidence of competence for purposes of qualification.
